IT Services leased a small fleet of laptops for administrative use, in collaboration with Finance and the Vice President`s administrator. These machines are aimed at users who need mobility and can currently use an older computer. IT departments lease computers every year, it is important that these assets are tracked before the end of the lease and returned to IT departments and returned in good condition. Accessories such as mice, adapters, cables, docking stations, external displays and other peripherals are not included in the delivery of a laptop and are the responsibility of the department. If IT departments have reason to believe that the security of your laptop has been compromised in some way or that your laptop is overdue, we will take steps to ensure the security of the laptop. OCAD U IT Services installs a management client on all our laptops: this software allows us to inventory, track, block and update software and settings on computers.

The duration of this loan is between the date of issue and the date indicated above in the document. Laptops must be returned before or on this date to avoid penalties (see fines and penalties). Employees are cordially advised to request a further extension of their long-term loan term before the next application deadline, and some loans will be automatically renewed by your manager.
